That look (by Oriza Martins)
- a love poem by Oriza Martins
That look
Are two penetrating eyes,
Seductive, provocative,
Two stars overwhelming myself…
Beacons of light with what I dream
Have a bright future,
Only love, love, love …
How I wished, in this life,
Find peace and shelter
In the shadow of that look …
Fulfill fantasies,
Cherish cold mornings,
Only love, love, love …
But the eyes that I love,
For whom I sigh and cry,
Are the sources of my suffering…
Executioners of my days,
Launch flashes of goodbye,
Do not feel my desire…
They are eyes of someone
Who never comes to my life
And insists on ignoring me…
That looks me, stares me,
However, to my misfortune,
Looks me… but not sees me!…
