Talk-show of George Lopez canceled
The talk-show of the comedian George Lopez was canceled after only two seasons, said the cable station TBS U.S. on Wednesday.
The program, called “Lopez Tonight” debuted in 2009 and will not be renewed for a third season, TBS said in a statement.
“TBS has taken the difficult decision not to make a third season of ‘Lopez Tonight.” Thursday is the last episode, “the statement said.
The Californian Lopez, 50, whose Mexican heritage has always served as a reason for their racial jokes, tried to attract a different audience for your program.
Before the talk-show, the comedian starred in the sitcom “George Lopez,” which spent five years on the air until 2007 and paved the way for other TV productions in the U.S. Hispanic.
